My approach and my photography style are my guiding principles. Subtle, delightful, and instinctive, I document these precious moments as spontaneously, authentically, and unobtrusively as possible.

I am fully aware of the important role of the wedding photographer, and I want you to have a reassuring and confident presence every step of the way. When you work with me, you have a caring and compassionate photographer by your side. I'll follow wherever you go, ready to hand you a pack of tissues, fetch you the bouquet you left on a windowsill, or reassure a best man racked by doubt just before his speech. My role, be it for a weekend or just a few hours, is to dive into the middle of families and couples I know little about and to transform the most powerful and important moments of their lives into indelible memories.

INTERVIEW

WHO ARE YOU? DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN A FEW WORDS.

Above all, I’m a nature and animal lover. I've always been very interested in visual arts, and I'm also a synesthetic: I associate numbers, letters, and a few other things with colors. I have always lived in Paris and for now, I can't imagine living anywhere else. I started out working as a photographer in the fashion industry when I was 20 years old, but gradually, I realized what I truly love about photography: I don’t want to stage things, I prefer to capture existing and unique moments.

When was the first time that you remember realizing that you are a creative person?

I grew up with this creativity. I never intellectualized it, but the fact is: I always knew. And I’d even say that everyone around me knew: I was a very calm and observant child, shy and thoughtful. I mean… I was probably even a bit weird! I remember imagining stories and conversations between people I passed by in the street. I had only a few friends, whom I chose precisely, and I spent a lot of time on my own, writing stories, or drawing. When I spent a whole afternoon at home, all I needed was a snack, the company of a cat, and some pens. And in a certain way, it’s still the case.

Do you believe art is something you were born with or something you have to find in your daily life? and work for?

I truly believe that I was born with a creative temperament, and I was lucky that my parents left space for that. They always valued this creativity, and they were very supportive. Thanks to them, I tried a lot of activities during my childhood, like theatre, painting, pottery, and even comic strip writing. Photography came after, and it was love at first sight. But of course, to meet couples’ needs, and be efficient and consistent, I had to work, to understand and listen to myself. It took me some time. And I’m never done learning.

What is your inspiration?

It must be a very conventional answer, but I get a lot of inspiration from the small details of everyday life. I learned to take care of my mental health because nothing’s more important. I learned that creativity is cyclical; sometimes I need to do fewer things and recharge my batteries. I'm constantly nourished by the little lovely things around me, around us. I often go to see movies, exhibitions, and inspiring new places (that’s what I love about living in Paris). I regularly practice yoga, and I spend time in the forest or by the sea whenever I can.

DO YOU BELIEVE ART SHOULD DELIVER A MESSAGE?

I think that art always conveys something—a meaning—consciously or not. To me, photos can bring beautiful memories to life. And I truly believe that there can be beauty in anything. When I see what’s in front of me, my thought is always: how can I do it justice?

Have you always wanted to do what you are doing?

When I was a child, I wanted to be a writer. So I think we can say that I've always wanted to tell stories, one way or another!

AND After these years of working on your craft, do you still feel the joy of doing what you do?

There’s love and human connections at every wedding, but they’re never exactly the same! And that’s also what I love about wedding photography. Every couple has a different story and a unique relationship. And every day, I’m lucky enough to work with very different teams and discover new beautiful places.

Is there a particular place where you feel most creative?

My apartment can be called my safe place — I really love to spend time on my couch, with my computer, a matcha latte, my plants, and my three cats, but I actually could feel creative everywhere. I just need to be surrounded by love or to do things I like.
