Who are you? Describe yourself in a few words.

Hey, I’m Agne Katmandu, a wedding photographer from Lithuania. My goal is to capture your love story in an authentic, stylish and timeless way.

What in your personal life has influenced you to choose your career?

Photography became my path quite accidentally. I always loved taking pictures of my friends and daily life, but never viewed it as a career to pursue. Instead, I dedicated my time and efforts to my job in advertising. I liked its fast paced environment, keeping up with the industry trends and always striving to do better. However, oftentimes I was feeling a lack of something more meaningful to me. Until one day I received a message from a bride planning her wedding. She asked me to photograph it. Of course, having no previous experience and with no interest in weddings at that time - I said no. Long story short, she convinced me and that literally changed my life. I fell in love with shooting weddings. There is nothing else like being fully in the moment while shooting, even though you are extremely aware of capturing all the details and important moments  - at the same time it sometimes feels like a dream or a movie that you get to watch unfold in front of you. I feel extremely grateful!

What inspires you on your daily basis?

Nothing and everything in particular. I get really random bursts of inspiration. It can come from the colour of a passing car, the way light moves through the glass and whatever you can think of. I love the wholesome, quirky, colourful moments in life. It really touches me and makes me feel alive.

Do you believe art is something you were born with or something you have to find on your daily life? and work for?

I guess every person is creative in their own unique way. The way I understood that art is something I need to be doing in my life is when I would go some  time without creating anything and it made me feel really unhappy and not like myself. Creating art just makes me a better version of myself. So, I believe that creativity is really beneficial to everyone. Doesn’t matter what type of art you create.
